About Margaret Brunner-Surati

Margaret was born in Bandung (Indonesia) but grew up and was educated (commercial school) in the Netherlands. She studied many languages, brought about by her joy in socializing with people from all over the world. She is a member of the Asian Ladies Club of Switzerland for more than 8 years and enjoys the contact with the other ALC members from many different countries and cultures. Margaret was the ALC President from 2004 to 2006. She has participated in many ALC activities with great enthusiasm.

It is her passion to entertain and cook for friends and guests and therefore decided to make the art of cooking her profession. It goes hand in hand that she founded a private cooking school.

She is also the author of recipes for various magazines and book publications as well as for the TV stations TM3 in Germany and SF DRS 1 in Zürich. She has also published two books “Fernöstliche Köstlichkeiten” (Betty Bossi) and her own book “East meets West” by AT Verlag.

What she liked best is the travelling around the whole world, which came with the job. She has been living in Switzerland for more than 28 years.

Travelling, being one of her passions, she also organizes and guides culinary and cultural discovery trips to the Far East.

She also organize Ayurveda Therapy Package. Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort Wadduwa, Sri Lanka.
